Prized for its unique fragrance since biblical times, frankincense is an aromatic resin extracted from an oriental, exotic tree.
It is famously combined with myrrh and spikenard, some of the oldest spices in history.
It has been used as a flavoring for food, medicine, painkiller, disinfectant and most famously, a perfume. It's sweet-smoky fragrance is distinctive, and when mixed with a carrier oil, creates a tempting and timeless scent.
Here, these essential oils are mixed with pure olive oil harvested from olives grown around Jerusalem's hills.
Olive oil is rich in antioxidants and an excellent moisturizer.
